It’s time to dig through those couch cushions, raid the piggy banks, and tell your coins “Bye Bye Bye” as we kick off Penny Wars 2026—90’s style! Each grade is reppin’ a legendary 90’s group… because this is how we do it.
Bring your loose change, pre-rolled coins (they count DOUBLE—no scrubs allowed!), and bills, bills, bills to drop into your grade’s jar at the start of each day.
💿 HOW TO PLAY (aka The Remix)
Get ready to gather your gold (or silver) and join the race! Bring your change (pre-rolled coins count for double points) and bills to drop into the grade’s jar at the start of each day. The jars will be stored in the MPR, so keep your eyes peeled like a Koopa Troopa watching for a Mario!
🪙 Pennies & Bills = POSITIVE POINTS
🥈 Silver Coins = NEGATIVE POINTS, Silver coins are the No Diggity of Penny Wars—smooth, sneaky, and meant to bring others down.
🎶 Coin Rolls = DOUBLE POINTS; Positive OR negative—because we’re all Livin’ on a Prayer
💸 Zelle donations are IN - because it’s 2026 and we’re keeping it NSYNC. When donating, YOU MUST include the grade so we know who to give the points to (don’t leave us saying “Say My Name”).

The goal: Collect the most points for your grade and win a 90’s Music and Snack party, with extra recess time!
The proceeds from Penny Wars will, “rock,” our campus with a HUGE playground equipment refresh; making it Bigger, Better, Stronger than ever.

🎶 Monday, 2/23 – THE WAR BEGINS - The jars drop. The beats drop.
🎶 Tuesday, 2/24 – DOUBLE POSITIVE DAY - All pennies, bills, and Zelle donations count 2X POSITIVE. It’s Good Vibrations only today!
🎶 Wednesday, 2/25 – MIDWEEK WINNER - The grade in the lead at the end of the day earns Otter Pops on Thursday—because Ice Ice Baby.
🎶 Thursday, 2/26 – DOUBLE NEGATIVE DAY - All silver coins count 2X NEGATIVE
🎶 Friday, 2/27 – FINAL COUNTDOWN - All donations (including Zelle) due by 9:00am AZ time
